"I didn't shoot the archbishop" says Bob Lee Swagger (Mark Wahlberg), ex-Marine sniper. Shooter is a movie based off the book Point of Impact written by Stephen Hunter. This movie is an action film, which is going to keep you on edge and have you thinking what is going to happen next. Shooter is an excellent movie shown through its plot, direction and the cohesion of it all.

The plot of the movie is full of action and is going to leave you saying "wow!" Bob Lee Swagger is an ex-Marine sniper who is recruited by a retired Colonel Isaac Johnson (Danny Glover) who works for a private military company to help prevent a chance of an assassin of the President of the United States during a convention in three different cities. Turns out the Ethiopian archbishop was assassinated instead while standing next to the President. Little does Swagger know he is being framed by the private military company he is helping. Now Swagger is on the run and wanted for the killing of the Ethiopian archbishop, but knows he is innocence and trying to prove that he is. While on the run, Swagger runs into rookie FBI agent Nick Memphis (Michael Peña) and pretty much takes Memphis hostage to help him get out of this mess.

The direction or path on which Shooter takes place is one of the best I've ever seen. The Director Antoine Fuqua had it setup in a way that is very unique from other movies. Fuqua has is so if you miss any part of the first 10 minutes of the movie, you won't have any idea what is going on, unless that is if you have seen it before. This is something that experienced directors will do, so they can make sure that their audience watches the whole movie and it also makes for great togetherness of everything.

The flow and cohesion of Shooter is one of the best I have seen in a movie. The movie does a great job with not putting unneeded scenes in the movie to make it longer. The events that take place during the movie flow and fit perfectly with each other just like a puzzle. When a movie is able to not add in extra unneeded scenes it is going to keep the audience entertained and intrigued throughout the whole movie. Shooter is easy movie to follow along with because every event to happen throughout the movie helps lead into the next event. It's like climbing stairs, every step you take leads into the next step of walking up the stairs. That's why Antoine Fuqua the director did such a good job directing this movie in a way, where you have to watch the whole entire movie in order to properly follow along with it.

The movie Shooter which was directed by Antoine Fuqua is an easy movie to follow along with, but most of all a movie that is full of action and thrill, which is going to keep the audience predicting what action event is going to happen next during the movie. After all the action and thrill has exited your bodies, you will want to go back and watch it again, because Shooter is one of those movies that can't possibly be watched only once.
