The film is bad. I will admit that from the start. I'm not even a fan of Marky Mark. But despite the fact that I should have watched 10 minutes, snorted with derisive laughter and turned it off; I didn't.
It's hard to explain what is so satisfying about Shooter. Probably the extremely slick gratuitous violence has something to do with it, and a story which is just farfetched and interesting enough to be almost acceptable.
Either way, all I know is I have watched Shooter at least 3 times now, and loved it on every viewing.
