Review of Shoot 'Em Up (2007) by Alex H — 23 Nov 2011
This is not an award winning film. A shocking statement perhaps, but true, and it's obvious that neither the actors on screen nor the director behind the camera had illusions of such grandeur. It is what it is and happy to be such.
A modern look and feel attached to the great action movie style of the 80s. With lots of gun battles and a high body count, Shoot 'Em Up lives true to its name. A barrage of one-liners in a sea of action violence, that at times is difficult to believe, the actor's commitment to every scene, including the over the top one-liners, made it believable and made Shoot 'Em Up thoroughly enjoyable.
