Review of Shoe Shine Jasper (1947) by Yuki A — 04 Sep 2009
A portray of poverty in Italy in the vein of Italian Neo-Realism. Vittorio De Sica whom was one of the master of the movement captured the life of young, homeless boys who shoeshining American soldier's shoes and sent to jail because of petty crime.
It's that good that it was honored with an Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film cathegory for the first time ever.
