A movie far before its time, Shock Treatment is often unfairly judged in comparison to its predecessor. Unlike the sexually-charged sci-fi campfest that was Rocky Horror, this film does a great deal to showcase the breakdown of individual realities in the face of reality television--something that is more prevalent and relevant today than ever before.
Give it a fair chance.
