Review of Shock Corridor (1963) by Victor C — 15 May 2009
A tough piece of melodrama filled with flamboyant performances and memorable set pieces with some interesting things to say about America during the early '60's (when the film was shot.) A dissertation on race, sexuality and war disguised as a pulp thriller.
In a lot of ways, it reminds me of the flip side to a Douglas Sirk film.
