An amazing documentary--even at 9 1/2 hours it felt short. That it took Lanzmann 5 years to edit the film is easily believable--the intricate construction is brilliant.
(On those notes, I've read that Lanzmann released a film "Sobibor, October 14, 1943, 4 P.M." in 2001 that's an extended interview with one of his "Shoah" subjects. Unfortunately, the film doesn't seem to be available on DVD or VHS in the US.).
