Review of Shinjuku Incident (2009) by Lily K — 03 Apr 2009
This was definitely not your average Jackie Chan movie as it didn't have any of the comical humor or quick fisted martial arts that we've been so used to seeing in the usual Jackie Chan movies.
Instead, this film had a lot of serious dramatic moments and quite a bit of bloody and gory scenes that would not be recommended for the squeemish! On the other hand, Daniel Wu turns in a stellar performance and manages to overshadow Jackie Chan when it comes to dramatic roles.
I think Jackie should stick to more comedy and action flicks and stay away from drama films altogether!
