Review of Shinjuku Incident (2009) by Hoa B — 07 Nov 2009
This movie combines certain elements of being a peasant piece and a gangster drama together. It's not quite as grandiose but the well talented director Yee, succeeds in creating an atmospheric tale of loss and tragedy.
It's terrible when you work up on the plot, and I expected more from Jackie Chan, but we're so used to his only strong presence aside a dramatic role. It's quite entertaining and it certainly is not bad, but it could use a better push our characters in a better direction.
