Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Brian K — 07 May 2008
What do you get when you take one of the best bands of all time and pair it with one of the best directors of all time? You get Shine a Light. It's everything I thought it would be. I saw it in IMAX, and it really was like I was there. There were 13 cameras by my count covering the performance, and every shot they cut to was outstanding. Intermixed with the Scorsese show were historical clips from past news reports and interviews. Quite the movie and can't wait for it on Blu-ray.
