Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Bruce B — 27 May 2008
WARNING: watching on IMAX makes wrinkles, bumps and 65 years of wear n tear offensively noticable. even without the obvious great songs that await you, you still have a great movie. Scorsese starts the movie with a black & white mini-docu planning of the concert with the Stones via conference call and email from world class cities, including the bustling metropolis of Regina (rhymes with) Saskatchewan.
Also, Academy Award winning director Martin Scorsese ( I love saying that) follows his own lead from "The Last Waltz" includes great interviews from years past to give more insight on a career that has spanned more than 45 years.
a great concert of a great band from a great director.
