Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Anthony P — 31 Jul 2008
This is one band I've been dying to see live (along with Pink Floyd & AC/DC). This is a pretty good film. Between some songs are some ancient interviews with Mick & Keef and the others and boy how young they used to look! Mick shakes and jives across the stage like a young boy and Keef looks like he just stepped out of the morgue, ha-ha, glad his guitar-playing is still sloppy!
Loved hearing some obscure tracks like "Some Girls," "All Down the Line," "Faraway Eyes," "Loving Cup," "Live with Me," and old favorites like "Tumbling Dice," "As Tears Go By," and so on, but NO "Shine a Light." You only hear a few minutes of that song during the end credits!
If you are a fan of The Stones, then you will enjoy this.
LONG LIVE THE STONES!
