Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Ojas V — 05 Aug 2008
Even though Marty directed it, you wouldn't know that "Shine a Light" was an event film for the Oscar-winning Director. Still, although this is a run-of-the-mill concert film, this is a very entertaining, energetic concert film featuring arguably the greatest rock band of all time.
Everything comes together well; the cinematography's gorgeous (especially in Blu-Ray), the music's wonderful, and the feel and spectacle of the event is captured on screen quite perfectly. If you are a huge Rolling Stones fan, add a star, because you'll love this movie.
