Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Christopher S — 18 Sep 2010
I like The Rolling Stones even though I've never really been a fan of theirs. I am one of those people who don't buy their albums, but whenever their hits are on the radio I all of sudden find myself singing along. This film proves that the oldest rock n' roll band in the world is still alive and kickin' and that Keith Richards and Mick Jagger (and the other guys too) are still full of energy and power.
If you're wondering what this is exactly, then I can tell you that it's for the most part just Rolling Stones playing a concert, but with a few bits and pieces from old interviews thrown in between the songs for good measure. Oh, and did I mention that it's directed by Martin Scorsese?
