Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Kate H — 07 Oct 2010

I honestly don't know why I'm bothering writing this up. It's the Stones so of course I enjoyed myself. It's probably the only way I can ever see them live since I can't afford concert tickets at the best of times let alone theirs. God, can't believe they're still going and they're nearly bloody geriatrics. Anyway this might as well have been released as a concert DVD and left it at that. It's got a bit of archive footage from interviews and fun bits of on set shenanigans with Mick and Scorsese but, aside from that, it's just your're normal old concert film.

I also suppose something is lost in that I am watching this on my laptop in my bedroom and when it was out it was in IMAX. THAT would have been epic.
