Review of Shine a Light (2008) by Chris W — 25 May 2008

I was really surprised at how good this was. A really energetic performance. Seeing it in an IMAX theare was great, you felt like you were surrounded by other audience members with the sound surrounding you (I kept on finding myself turning around in the nearly empty theatre to see if the people in the back were actually clapping and screaming).

I would have maybe prefered a few more full stage shots (at times the camera racing around following Jagger was a bit crazy). I had, from some sources, got the impression that it would maybe be a bit more documentary and less concert.

. but it's not, so don't expect that.
