Review of Shine (1996) by Ed F — 03 Aug 2010
At times heartbreaking, at others uplifting, all the while maintaining an upbeat and humorous tone throughout. Helfgott's story makes for an interesting biopic which is excellently made and brilliant acted, with Rush giving a career best performance and Lynn Redgrave contributing a relatively short but sweet role as his eventual wife.
