Great, moving biopic on the pianist David Helfgott. Examines his personality, his upbringing, his sublime talent, what drove him, destroyed him and revived him.
Well told story, sensitively directed. Excellent performance by Geoffrey Rush - he deserved his Best Actor Oscar. Good supporting cast too, especially Armin Muller-Stahl, John Gielgud and and Lynn Redgrave.
