Review of Shine (1996) by Chad V — 17 Jan 2009
Regardless of how factual or not this movie may be, it certainly is worth a watch. Straightforward and moving, it beautifully paints a picture of the courage of an artist and the redemptive quality of his passion.
Geoffrey Rush is brilliant, as are Noah Taylor as his adolescent self and Armin Mueller-Stahl as his domineering father.
