Review of Shin Godzilla (2016) by Paul B — 11 Oct 2016

American 2014 version superior.

My biggest problems:

1. Very dialog heavy, hard to follow subtitles because they were changing so fast.

2. Very little Godzilla.. people complained that the American version didn't have enough... this one may have had even less.

3. Creature design was good, and we got a fully CG version, but it was stiffer than the man in the suit. Very little emotion, and overall not interesting.

The 2014 version was a superior creature, had much more action, and a much more enjoyable experience. I can't wait for the sequel, and the Skull Island tie in.
