Review of She's Out of My League (2010) by Peter B — 08 Nov 2010

The moments of knocked up / superbad style blokey discussions between the main dood and the geezer from cloverfield are pretty funny. The main problem is its not funny enough to be mostly a comedy - its kinda tryin to be a sweet romance. Which fails coz theres zero chemistry between them. Compared to the apatow films, that its tryin to be, its not that good. Compared to a lot of recent heigl/aniston/bullock rom coms its surprisingly not bad. Either way you look at it theres nothin new here but theres a lot worse out there.

Heres the main problem summed up - we get gross out/american pie type set pieces but theyre followed by montages to the fray and james morrison. Dont really fit neatly together do they?
