Review of She's Out of My League (2010) by Bob S — 23 Jan 2012
Jay Baruchel plays a TSA Agent with no self-esteem brought on by an unsupportive family who play on his insecurities at every move. Alice Eve is his idea of perfection who accidentally leaves her phone at security and asks him to hold it for her until she returns.
Their romance grows as does his lack of self-confidence in it compounded by her status in life as well as an ex-boyfriend who decides he wants her back now that she's with somebody else. What will win out, the family planned annual vacation to Branson, MO or true love? Will his self image ruin the best thing that has ever happened to him or will he realize that it was an even playing field all along? Not the funniest movie ever, but it was cute and sweet and fun to watch.
