Review of Sherrybaby (2006) by Dave J — 31 Aug 2007
This film IS Maggie Gyllenhaal. She is so extremly good in this one that one excuse the film for not having the best dialogue and co-actors. The portrait of a young abused and abusing woman is very interesting and even though it has some flaws in the plot I like the tone and the rhythm of the storytelling a lot.
And I have to say it again: Maggie Gyllenhaal is one hell of an actress! This one is worth watching just for her convincing interpretation.
