Review of Sherlock Jr. (1924) by Ivan M — 03 May 2012
A great movie from Buster Keaton. He plays a young man working in a small-town cinema who fantasizes about being the world's best detective. The main section of the film is the dream he has while asleep by the projector.
The special effects and the stunts are really impressive for their time, especially knowing the stunts are real and performed by Keaton himself! It hasn't aged badly at all, with scenes that will still make people laugh their heads off, as well as having a powerful and interesting story.
