Review of Sherlock Jr. (1924) by Jesse O — 09 Aug 2012
This is the first Buster Keaton film I watch from beginning to end and damn was it great. This film is particularly impressive for its time considering some of the techniques and effects that were used, most specifically in the dream sequence and how it was edited together.
I'm not even sure how to explain it, you'll just have to watch it. It's really quite impressive especially considering this film is almost 90 years old. Think about that for a second. Of course the movie is still very funny with a lot of clever visual comedy and some of the title cards are also pretty hilarious as well.
Really not much to say about the movie but I was greatly entertained by it and its clever effects and sight gags.
