Review of Sherlock Holmes and the Secret Weapon (1942) by Mat K — 23 Sep 2008
War time patriotism crosses with Sherlock Holmes in this movie based on Doyle's character, although not any of his stories. Rathbone makes a great Holmes but Nigel Bruce played Watson a bit too dim witted.
Not a bad movie but it felt too much like it was trying to be a Holmes story instead of being one.
