Review of Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows (2011) by Marc L — 05 Aug 2013
Consistent gritty style, intriguing look at the characters by Ritchie, with especially strong performances by Downey and Law. Mark Strong is also effectively creepy. The mechanics of the story hold together in their logic.
However, the individual pieces don't make sense on close examination, so avoid if those kinds of issues will keep you from enjoying a movie, whatever it's other charms.
