I'm a huge fan of Sherlock Holmes in general...and I'm a bit picky on how the character is handled...and Guy Ritchie's take on the character made me want to puke. I'm not even going to get near the sequel.
This sort of big Hollywood production had to "big up" everything including the completely unfollowable and pointless plot.
