The film offers a solid re-imaging of Mr. Holmes and Mr. Watson for nowadays youth and has a great look and mechanical feel to the direction, especially during the action scenes. Its major downfall is that it never has much of a mystery for the audience to solve.
.. which is sort of a major miss.
