Review of Sherlock Holmes (2009) by The Critic ( — 18 Apr 2013
Has all the visual flair of a Guy Ritchie flick with the sharp dialogue of a Sherlock Holmes adventure, but this revisit of Britain's greatest detective and his loyal sidekick just doesn't quite engage as it should. Perfect casting of Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law as Holmes and Watson not only gives the production some extra charisma but also makes it worth sitting through.
A good effort that should've been great.
