Review of Sherlock Holmes (2009) by Alexandra E — 29 Nov 2014
Downey and Law's chemistry is definitely one of the things that bring humor to the movie. Rachel McAdams' performance as Irene Adler is also one of the things that lights up the movie and the banter between Adler and Holmes is definitely worth watching.
The movie itself is built beautifully. The story -- although not canon -- is enough to catch any person's attention whether the person read the Sherlock Holmes novels and short stories or not. Personally, as a Sherlock Holmes fan, I found Downey's performance to be brilliant and his portrayal to be much like the portrayal Arthur Conan Doyle wrote in his books.
This movie is definitely worth 5 stars out of 5.
