Review of Shenandoah (1965) by Vig S — 08 Apr 2008
Some elements of the film have dated ever so slightly, but don't affect the film overall. Jimmy Stewart as always steals the show (so to speak) with a very heartfelt, very convincing performance; there are some other wonderful performances throughout.
I don't know an awful lot about the American Civil War, but this didn't hamper my viewing at all.
