Review of Shenandoah (1965) by Allan C — 22 Dec 2010
I've always thought of director Andrew V. McLaglen as kind of a talented hack, but this film was pretty good. It lacks the artistry of a John Ford or Howard Hawks film, but it does have some surprisingly poignant scenes, which I'll give credit for to the actors and screenplay.
Fine western saga.
