Review of Shelter (2007) by Neil R — 10 Aug 2008
The characters are what make this romance-drama between gay surfers worth watching. The two leads are very complex in the way they act and feel, and you really get the sense that you're getting to know them as their relationship develops.
Also, the problems that the protagonist has to deal with are realistic and don't come with simple answers, making him an easy character to sympathize with. The only downside is that the plot, or at least the ending, is pretty predictable and you'll probably have it figured out early on, but it's still enjoyable getting there.
