No doubt it wouldn't have been as praised if the characters didn't happen to be gay. But that's the whole point of the movie and it was portrayed beautifully. Both actors did amazingly well and it's such a sweet little film.

Also, it undoubtedly changed the way I see things in life. That's a great bonus. Not only was it entertaining, it was also very well-written. Definitely one of my favorites!!
