Review of She Wore a Yellow Ribbon (1949) by Robert P — 18 Mar 2008
Less to recommend it than the companion pieces, Rio Grande and Fort Apache, but arguably a stronger performance from John. Beautiful scenery of course, but light on action and too formulaic. Standout sequence is the cavalry marching through a storm.
Generally, however, more one dimensional and less tolerant of difference than the other two films.
