Review of She Done Him Wrong (1933) by Brian H — 23 Jan 2008
A classic film notable for the introduction of a young Cary Grant and for the line 'Come up and see me sometime!" Mae West is at her usual sassy, sarcastic best. And the film is so short (just over an hour), it's really hard to complain.
But it took quite a while for the plot to develop - I felt like nothing really seemed to happen until the last 15 minutes. Those last 15 minutes were pretty suspenseful and entertaining with a twist or two.
But it took too long to lead up to that. Although, it is always entertaining to watch and listen to the one and only Mae West.
