Review of She-Devil (1989) by Charles S — 15 Jun 2008
You know - I was really surprised at first when my girlfriend turned this movie on - I had never heard of it, and I found it surprisingly wild and entertaining at first. "At first" being the key word here.
Having said that, the first half hour of the film is shockingly comical, satirical, and hilarious - if only they could have kept that up for the entire film, we'd have a classic cult comedy here - unfortunately, from the minute Roseanne ditches her kids with the erotic novel writing bimbo, Meryl Streep, the movie begins to plummet down, down, down into pointlessness, leaving you repeating "What is going on and why am I still watching this?".
Must see for fans of Roseanne, otherwise, eh - check it out if you have On Demand and you're bored.
