Review of Shazam! (2019) by Grantd243 — 08 Apr 2019

Shazam! is another step in the right direction for DC and provided me with lots of laughs and a different origin story from most other superheros. Unfortunately, some of the comedy fell flat in the second half of the film (it started to feel a little repetitive), and as is the problem with most superhero films I found the villain to be uninteresting and overly-reliant on CGI.

I still enjoyed the film a lot, but it definitely fell short of my expectations overall.
