Review of Shazam! (2019) by Daniel_Endure — 04 Apr 2019

Usually during comedies I end up staring blankly at the silver screen other than maybe a few times where I give a single chuckle or two, and rightfully-so seeing as how humor is such a subjective topic.

However, with Shazam!, I was laughing out loud at close to 50% of what was thrown my way. Albeit the laughs may be entirely based around character stupidity, this was my movie to enjoy nonetheless. Zachary Levi had me entertained with his sheer presence alone.

What keeps it from perfection are some childish moments towards the end, some lackluster storytelling regarding the backstory, and a villain that could have used some work... Regardless, it was a heck of a good time at the cinema.
