Review of Shaurya (2008) by Vikram M — 12 Apr 2008
I didn't know what the movie was about when I started watching it. Later on, I realized that it is a Bollywood version of "A Few Good Men" and I was like "Meh!" but the stellar performances from Rahol Bose and Kay Kay kept me hook up for 2 hours.
The movie is well transformed from the original and explores a very sensitive issue. This is a very serious movie and not for the casual movie goer looking for "masala".
The best thing about the movie is dialogs and the last scene with Kay Kay (I haven't seen performance like this since Cheeni Kum). Kay Kay is one of the finest actors I've ever seen.
Bottom line: For critic's eye only. Watch it for excellent dialogs and outstanding performances.
