Review of Shaurya (2008) by Yogesh S — 14 Apr 2008
Apart from the fact that it is yet another production from the Bollywood-rips off-Hollywood company, the film is one huge cliche! Seasoned actors like Rahul Bose and Kay Kay Menon are completely wasted in this endless, much rundown diatribe on the Hindu-Muslim issue.
Rahul Bose is an army lawyer who is chosen to defend an army man who shot his own brigadier down and is rumoured to have terrorist links. Deepak Dobriyal made an impact without saying a word. Kay Kay is spectacular as usual - an intense, smart alec role that he absorbs with remarkable ease.
Minissha Lamba hams to the core with her wannabe serious journo act. Ignore her. Watch the film when the DVD comes out and scene select to the ones with Kay Kay in it. The rest of the film is a total wash-out.
