Review of Shaun the Sheep Movie (2015) by Tor M — 18 Sep 2015
I really dig this style of film making. It looks both fun and delicate, impressive and charming.
The TV-show is super and fittingly put into short episodes. It was a possibility that the full lenght aspect wouldn't be a fit, but it really did.
The story is all right, where Shaun and the rest of his friends head out to the big city to save the day. Very funny film. Visually very clever and imaginative. It gave me many laughs and not just of the stupid kind, I felt it took a chance with some smart puns but they work out for both kids and adults.
It's quite a disaster that Norway puts up the film in cinemas ONE year after it's premiere and over 4 months after the next to last country permiere. Gosh.
I highly reccomend this film no matter which age group you are put in.
8 out of 10 wool factories.
