Review of Shaun of the Dead (2004) by Gardner R — 13 Sep 2013
Definitely the best horror/comedy of the last decade, Shaun of the Dead gives us the wonderfully inspired comedy and a delightful amount of zombie carnage that makes this a rare gem among other films that try to hard to balance other elements.
Director Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, The Worlds End) inspired by great horror film directors such as George A. Romero (Dawn of the Dead 1978 Version) and Sam Raimi (The Evil Dead) Gives us the much needed beloved take on horror comedy we were so desperately needing.
The acting always stays strong and never ceases to lose it's funny and dark sense of humor. This film will always have a special place in my heart as the finest zombie film I have seen to this day.
The laughs and chills are infectious and persistent like it's flesh craving antagonists. So folks, do yourself a favor and pop in Shaun of the Dead and I hope you enjoy as much as I did.
