Review of Shaun of the Dead (2004) by Calvin C — 07 Oct 2013
The first film in Edgar Wright's Three Flavours Trilogy is an homage to George A. Romano's zombie films. The humor is sharp and the characters are all diverse in personalities. The parallels of humans walking though life like zombies is clever. This isn't so much about a zombie invasion, but how certain people examine their lives when they know it might end very soon. A zombie film with heart...who knew?
Grade: A-.
