Review of Shattered Glass (2014) by Sarah B — 12 Nov 2010
An unnerving, painful and spot-on portrayal of Stephen Glass, a former writer for The New Republic. One lie leads to dozens more as the story begins to unravel and Stephen's co-workers discover that he is not all he says he is.
Hayden Christensen is perfect in the role of Glass, as a man who looks like an adult but acts as an infant (always saying things like "What did I do?" and "Are you mad at me?"). Peter Sarsgaard is flawless as Chuck Lane, Editor for The New Republic, who becomes more and more suspicious as the lies begin to pile up.
Anyone looking for a thriller, a great character study, or have interest in journalism should be sure to check out this movie.
