Review of Shattered Glass (2003) by Rosie P — 12 Jul 2007
Tells the true story of a rising New Republic writer in the late '90s who was caught fabricating entire articles. Gripping, almost mesmerizing film. When you see everything starting to unravel you want to feel sorry for Stephen Glass and you want to turn away, but you can't.
Normally I don't like this type of movie too much. But this one hits home for me since I'm going into journalism. What makes the film so incredible is that everything in it closely follows what actually happened.
