Review of Shattered Glass (2003) by Manny C — 11 Mar 2011
Has fact-checking ever been so exciting? Shattered Glass tells the tale of Stephen Glass (Hayden Christensen, has he been in a decent movie since this one?), a young hotshot writer for the New Republic who was caught fabricating stories.
Glass may not sound like the most exciting movie character, but look closely and you'll see a man driven, not by journalistic ambition, but by a need to be famous, and he's not the only one. Every character seems possessed by their own desire to achieve big name status, even they all don't act on it.
Glass simply went to far.
