Review of Shattered Glass (2002) by Carissa C — 24 Jun 2007
The script has minor weaknesses, but the fresh direction and exquisite turns from both Hayden Christensen and Peter Sarsgaard prove extremely effective. Christensen engulfs his character of Stephen Glass, a charmingly manipulative youngster, while Sarsgaard is both intriguing and likable as editor Chuck Lane.
Supporting turns from Chloe Sevigny, Steve Zahn and Hank Azaria are also excellent. The content is handled nicely, the character development is impressive and Mychael Danna's score is fantastic. Watching Glass slowly fall apart is mesmerizing.
