Review of Sharpe's Challenge (2006) by Isaac M — 29 Oct 2011
It's not a bad film. Better directing and actors all around could have drastically improved it, though the script could have used some work with the fairly predictable dialogue. I've now watched the first one and this, and the greatest strength of these films is also the greatest weakness: Sean Bean casts a huge shadow.
Not to say he's overacting. It's simply that he seems so real in the role, and almost every other actor seems to be trying so hard.
